SL ENTRUSTED WITH TWO NEW CFB BOILERS

Bottrop, Germany – Set Linings GmbH has been entrusted with two new contracts for the delivery of engineering, materials, installation and heating-up of two CFB boilers. The first contract is a brownfield project in Gardanne-Meyreuli, France, involving the retrofit of an existing coke burning CFB to a 100% biomass burning CFB. The works, which include the demolition of the existing 1.300 tons of refractories, are already ongoing and the installation phase is expected to start soon. At completion, 1.500 tons of new refractories will have been handled and the plant will be able to output 150 MW of “clean” electricity! The second project, in the Philippines, is part of the new Binugao greenfield Power Plant project, and involves the construction of two petroleum coke burning CFB boilers, each comprising the 900 tons of refractories. The award of these two projects comes at a time when Set Linings is successfully completing two other similar projects: CFB boiler in Estonia and, a lignite fired boiler in Slovenia.
